Getting caught up on the blog from a really busy year of photographing 2021 weddings! This is Iman and Rind from their beautiful Nikah Ceremony in Kalamazoo back in March.

Stacey and Dominic's Wintery West Michigan Engagement Photos

These two are getting married on August 29, 2021 at the beautiful Gable Hill Barn in Southwest Michigan. I think it’s safe to say the temperature on their wedding day will be a bit different from their engagement session experience in Kalamazoo last weekend! It was 15° F and windy but I’d say we pulled off some great shots and had some fun doing it!

Being a photographer in Kalamazoo never seems to disappoint. We strolled around the Kalamazoo Mall, got a much needed coffee from Caffe Casa, explored a snow apocalypse on top of a parking structure, and headed to a nearby field to end the session with them wrapped up in a blanket. Kate & Brad's Kalamazoo Engagement Session

Kate and Brad are getting married at Bay Pointe Inn on Gun Lake in July of 2021! We got together back in September for a really fun engagement session in downtown Kalamazoo. They started off the session by sitting down for a quick drink at Principle’s outdoor dinning area. We went for a walk around the Kalamazoo Mall and ended the session on top of a parking structure as we watched the sunset over downtown Kalamazoo. Check out a few highlights from the session!

Lindsey and Tim's Kalamazoo Wedding

I first met Lindsey and Tim in early 2019 when we met up for their engagement session at Rawson’s King Mill Park in Southwest Michigan. They were so fun to work with and they made each other (and me!) laugh through the entire session. Tim is a genuine goofball through and through!

So since then, I’ve been eagerly anticipating their wedding day in October of 2020 at the beautiful Blue Heron Barn in Kalamazoo. The venue was amazing, and the people were amazing. They were both so laid back and willing to put in the time throughout the day to get some amazing photos. I even brought my rubber boots so I could jump in the stream for some incredible first look photos on the bridge. Weddings like this are the reason why I love my job as a wedding photographer! Kathrine + John's Journeyman Distillery Wedding

What an awesome day! These two started the morning in New Buffalo, Michigan where they got ready and shared their snowy first look on the rooftop of the Marina Grand, overlooking Lake Michigan. We then headed over to their beautiful ceremony and reception held at Journeyman Distillery in Three Oaks. Check out a few highlights from their wedding day!

Julie + Nate's Detroit Wedding

Can you think of a better way to kick off the New Year? Julie and Nate were married on January 4th, 2020 at the beautiful St. Aloysius Parish in Detroit, Michigan. The reception was held at the Detroit Athletic Club. After getting ready, we were able to find some amazing places (it wasn’t hard) for portraits and a first look at the DAC. We then jumped onto a shuttle for wedding party photos on the steps of the Detroit Institute of Arts and some stunning images of Julie and Nate in front of the iconic Fox Theatre downtown Detroit. Be sure to check out the amazing architecture in the images from the wedding ceremony at St. Aloysius.

The reception continued back at the Detroit Athletic Club with cocktail hour and the traditional Chaldean Zaffa. The Zaffa was incredible! Massive drums lead the family and wedding party to the reception hall where dancing and lifting of the bride and groom took place. Check out a few highlights from the day.

Allison + Paul's River Edge Bed and Breakfast Wedding

So many blogs to catch up on! I had a very busy year with weddings in 2020. 35 weddings total and I just finished up my last edit for the year! Woohoo!

These images are from an incredibly hot day in mid July in Lowell, MI at the River Edge Bed and Breakfast. This wedding venue is amazing! There’s an incredible marsh and field with a beautiful river running through the background of the ceremony. This is the perfect kind of scene for me as a wedding photographer and landscape photographer. Check out a few of my favorites from Ally and Paul’s wedding day…

Julie + Cole Downtown Kalamazoo

What a fun couple! Over the last year of talking with and working with Julie & Cole, I grew more and more excited as this date approached.
